Welcome
Hello Everyone
My name is Mina and I would like to welcome you, this blog will be used mostly to post information regarding the revitalization of Regent Park, community events and other relevant community information. I am currently the community animator at Regent Park Neighbourhood Initiative.
The Regent Park Neighbourhood Initiative was established by the residents of Regent Park in 2000 and is here for the residents of Regent Park to provide “leadership in building and sustaining a healthy and vibrant community.”
I am currently participating in establishing a Regent Park Community Crisis Response Network (RPCCRN) which is a network of residents, agencies and city services that will provide support, resources and referrals as needed in times of crisis in our community. (If you are interested in participating please connect with me – RPCCRN@gmail.com)

I have been involved in discussions to maintain a certain amount of community garden spaces on the foot print of Regent Park during and after the Revitalization Project. We are currently working on educating the residents of Regent Park on alternative gardening methods e.g.: container gardening, vertical gardening and community gardening vs. individual plot gardening (If you are interested in these issues please feel free to connect with me and I will see how you can become more involved)
